Fuffad Ji Review: The Movie Is A Laughing Disaster With Low Plot
Gurnam Bhullar and Binnu Dhillon's highly anticipated film Fuffad Ji has finally hit theaters today. It stars Binnu Dhillon, Gurnam Bhullar as leads, Jasmin Bajwa, and Sidhika Sharma as female leads and supporting characters, and features actors such as Hobby Dhaliwal, Mahabir Bhullar, Gurpreet Bhangu, and more as supporting characters. It was no secret that the film is based on a story that focuses on the relationship between a fuffad (uncle) and a jija (brother-in-law), who are practically sons-in-law of the same family. While Binnu Dhillon plays Arjan Singh, the Fuffad, Gurnam Bhullar was seen playing the character of Chann Singh (jija). And ever since the trailer for the film was released, fans have been waiting for the surprise with which this film will be released. And as both the name and trailer for the film suggested, yes, the film is a light family drama that is surely entertaining but not overly happening.
If we described the story of the movie to you in one sentence, we would say that it is like the scientific fact we learned in school, that is, "Similar poles repel each other." Both Fuffad and Jija in the story are men with high egos. in the mind, but keep the beauty in the heart. Therefore, their similar nature ensures that there is always a gap between them which is eventually the main source of entertainment for the audience.
And along with the sweet and savory fights between the leads, the movie also served audiences with a little glimpse of their simple yet sweet romantic sides. The first interval of the film will give you a sneak peek into the relationship between Arjan Singh and his wife, and since the second interval is about Chann Singh and Pali's marriage, a part is dedicated to them.
Speaking of the performances of the leads, Binnu Dhillon and Gurnam Bhullar, they both fit well into the characters as if they were written just for them.
Although we have almost no complaints with any actor's acting skills, including supporting ones, we personally felt that Binnu Dhillon's skills were somehow underused and the character building of the female leads; Jasmin Bajwa and Siddhika Sharma felt a little weak on the screen. And if you're waiting for us to reveal what Jassi Gill is doing as a cameo in the movie, we're not going to reveal much, but we can assure you that he's the one who will add the most charm and keep the legacy going.
If you've seen the trailer for the movie, we can say that there are already a lot of things you can predict about the movie.
The Fuffad Ji movie also includes various comedic dialogues that ensure that the audience is entertained at all times. But if you ask us, we'd say there were a few glitches that caused the movie to not get a 5/5. As already mentioned, we believe that the creators of Fuffad Ji did not benefit from the caliber of Binnu Dhillon.
His character could have been modified into something better that did justice to fans' expectations. Also, we would have been impressed if a little more attention had been paid to the personal stories of the characters, even though the film is entirely dedicated to the Fuffad and Jija of one family. And the harsh truth that various hits and comic scenes in the movies were too exaggerated as a theatrical drama was a bit underwhelming at times.
Also, we can't ignore the fact that there were some scenes that gave us a real "Deja Vu" when the movie became very similar to Ammy Virk's Bambukat.
But overall, we wrap up the movie as a family entertainer with songs, humor, relatable sweet and savory gaps, and a lot about weddings. So if you are looking forward to seeing him with his friends or family, you can surely step forward to have a good time. If you don't expect unexpected drama and excitement in the movie, he will leave theaters laughing and enjoying himself. Watch it and have fun.
